We recently completed a pilot study of DM201, our lead candidate in ALS. We performed the study in a rat model of ALS; the animals harbor a mutant form of SOD1 that is commonly used in rat and mouse models of ALS (SOD1/G93A). Preliminary results showed later onset of disease and increased survival.

We are also beginning a study of mechanisms of pathogenesis in ALS. This study uses a SOD1/G93A mouse model of ALS. Our theory is proprietary at this time, but we believe the study may shed light on an important aspect of ALS. We have recently begun a collaboration with the ALS Therapy Development Institute (Boston, MA) to investigate our theory.
